Oct 30, 2021

The spooky season is upon us, and studios from across Activision, Blizzard, and King are feeling the spirit. Across a multitude of ABK game titles, players will be treated to a host of freebies, limited-time in-game events, and more this Halloween season. Read on for a selection of the spookiest highlights.

The Haunting Returns to Call of Duty

Just in time to ring in the spooky season, Call of Duty’s annual Haunting kicked off last week, bringing a host of new Halloween-themed content to Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Players can take on a series of in-game challenges in either Black Ops Cold War or Warzone to unlock new seasonal rewards, now through November 2.

In partnership with Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group, Activision is also offering the SCREAM Operator Bundle, which gives players the opportunity to terrorize their Call of Duty matches as Ghostface, the iconic villain from the Scream films ahead of the next installment’s big screen release in January 2022.

The Headless Horseman Rides in World of Warcraft . . .

Hallow’s End is nigh in Azeorth, and denizens of World of Warcraft are scouring the land for the treats (and rare treasures) that are only available this time of the year. From now until November 1, World of Warcraft players can undertake seasonal quests and activities to earn in-game achievements, toys, cosmetics, and more. They can even do battle with the Headless Horseman himself for a chance at winning the ultimate trophy—his dreaded mount!

. . . And Also in Hearthstone

Not content to terrorize World of Warcraft, the Headless Horseman has also taken over the Hearthstone tavern. This year’s spooky Hallow’s End celebration is on through November 9, and players are being treated to some great freebies (including free card packs and cosmetics), special offers, and a return of fan-favorite limited-time activities. Starting November 2, Diablo, the Lord of Terror himself, will be invading Hearthstone’s popular Battlegrounds mode in what promises to be the crossover event of the season. Candy Crush Saga & Bubble Witch 3 Saga Bring the Halloween Spirit

King is also getting into the spirit of things, with limited-time challenges and activities in both Candy Crush Saga and Bubble Witch 3 Saga. Players can crush the orange jack o’ lanterns for big prizes in Candy Crush Saga, and put Stella the witch to work at her bubbling cauldron in Bubble Witch 3 Saga for a sweet badge and the chance at a bounty of gold bars.
